John Gielgud drawings 1920

John Gielgud, illustrious English actor of stage and screen, who was knighted in 1957 and died in 2000, was also a producer and director. Named Arthur John Gielgud at birth, he made his theatrical debut in 1921. Consists of twenty sketches in pencil of unidentified theatrical characters by Gielgud at ca. age 16. Two are signed "AJG" and dated 1920 and one of those is titled A Carnival Domino. The rest are unsigned and undated.
